Jochen Kallenberg has a technical degree in chemical and pharmaceutical production and a higher degree in marketing. He has 25 years extensive experience in the water & wastewater treatment industry working for global leading membrane and mineral technology companies such as Toray Industries, Inge Membranes and Omya International working in different technical, sales & marketing and global business development roles. Throughout his career he gained in depth knowledge in the fields of reverse osmosis desalination, micro- and ultrafiltration membranes, media filtration, remineralization (post-treatment) of desalinated water, as well as coagulation & flocculation processes. In his current role as director water treatment, he is globally responsible for Dryden Aqua’s commercialization of Activated Filter Media – AFM® – in the water and wastewater treatment and desalination market. As board member and treasurer of the European Desalination Society (EDS) he voluntarily supports the education and promotion of relevant technologies to its members and desalination and water reuse industry stakeholders.
